Summary Project ‘Language and Technologies through development of teachers to development of school’ is referred to the workers of Gimnazjum Nr 1 in Błonie. Seven people will participate in the project, one representative out of different subjects: humanities and science, foreign languages, a librarian, a mathematician, an educational psychologist, a support teacher ,a safety education teacher. The important attribute of chosen teachers will be their willingness of sharing their knowledge and experience with other members of their subjects teams and declaration of using the gain experience in practice. Participants will be chosen by defined criteria. The project answers diagnosed needs of the school which are: introducing new, attractive methods of teaching including ICT techniques. The aims of the activities are to make a process of learning more attractive and to increase students’ motivation to learning by using the newest technologies. The aims of the project and its main operations are established to reply fully to the needs of the school, the students and the participants. The most important things are: improving the quality of school work, making the process of teaching and learning more effective, increasing European dimension of the school, personal development of teachers, obtainment abilities of using English effectively and flexibly for social, academic and professional purposes like possibility of development abroad, using foreign publications, preparing the staff of the school to gain practical skills and planning international cooperation by preparing projects like KA2, using ICT during classes, creating a class with elements of using English to teach science. The programme includes learning of English in three stages: three-month preparation before going to the course abroad, two-week language course in Malta, three-month online English course . Learning language competence will allow the teachers to take part in one- week methodical ICT course effectively. The course will take place in Madrid. Each mobility will be provided by culture training. The intended purposes: increasing language competence, motivating to improve foreign languages, strengthening self-esteem, gaining the ability of organization foreign mobility, personal and professional development, introducing the newest teaching methods including ICT, better quality of teaching and learning. Certificates and Europass language passports will be the measured effects of the project. The results of the project will be published at school and local level. There will be the project dedicated webpage, multimedia presentation about using ICT techniques during classes, photographic material from mobility and articles in local press.
