Start date: Oct 1, 2014, End date: Sep 30, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

The association Le Garage Numérique , Paris ( France ) , in partnership with RotaJovem association, Cascais (Portugal), wants to set up a youth exchange under the Erasmus + porgramme. The project is aimed at young people from poor neighborhoods, mostly from African immigration , expressing their concerns about the situations of social injustice and cultural rejection , they suffer and complain . Thus, in a dynamic of empowerment , youth will have the opportunity to meet young people from another country of the European Union, in similar conditions but different national specificities, both denouncing integration difficulties suffered by their community. The aim is to enable young people to become aware of the international character of the social problems experienced , to share experiences, and find common ways forward . This sharing of knowledge will be through times of thematic debates, structured around activities shared. Young French , active in the action of an association dedicated to multimedia, transmit their skills improving computer equipment , hardware and software , to their Portuguese counterparts , including reconditioned equipment and free software. Young Portuguese and French also will participate together in sports , especially football , main activity in all social neighborhoods, and rap music recording. 20 young people between 16 and 25 participate in this project (10 French and 10 Portuguese ) , in order to develop greater intercultural awareness , to establish empowerment strategies, to integrate thereafter other mobility programs. Beyond the participants only , the goal is to make this meeting a first bridge between European populations impoverished , immigrant , volunteers to act positively on their environment and fight against inequality.
