The project includes the training of two teachers of foreign languages from Zaspol Szkol in Janow Lubelski in Poland. The title of project is: 'I am a creative teacher of foreign language' and it is connected with the course 'Creative Methodology for Teachers' offered by International Project Centre in Exeter in Great Britain. This partner has a 20-year experience of teaching, is accredited by the British Council, cooperates with us and offers courses which are elligible for Erasmus Plus funding. This 2-week course for secondary teachers will focus on ways of creating interesting and productive lessons which do not take too much preparations, but challenge and encourage the learners to continue to learn. There are a lot of activities designed to update English. The teacher training programme includes: language, cultural and teaching methodology aspects. The participants of project are well-qualified teachers of foreign languages, open-minded about innovative solutions and students' exchange. They like challenges and learn all the time to develop their skills and methodology of teaching. They want to be creative and teach their students using the most effective techniques to ensure the high standard of education. The necessity of this project is dictated mainly by the raising standard of students' knowledge and their motivation for learning foreign languages. The school is located in a small town and the students come from the depressed area, with high unemployment. It is necessary to aware them what chances give the knowledge of foreign languages in the future. These young people need help, motivation, we should encourage them to study. The main aim of this project is to intensify activities supporting students by learning foreign languages. To achieve this improvement it is essential to be a well-methodologically-prepared teacher, using different materials (presented on the course), training and developing continuously to teach the best as possible. The objectives of project: -showing students the ways of gaining and developing the language knowledge in the international and cultural context -improving the methodological qualifications of teachers -gaining the knowledge about history, geography, culture, traditions, religion of country and different language dialects -raising the standard of school, european meaning of school -increasing the quality of teaching -improving the curriculums, syllabuses -verifying the methods of teaching to learn in accordance with requirements of european education and work market Description of activities: -cooperation with the partner of project (IPC) and different schools from Europe -improvement of curriculums, syllabuses, including the reality of english speaking countries, topics which propagate students' exchange, international cooperation -orgainsing school contests -planning the students' exchange -founding the European Club propagating international cooperation and cultural candour Methodology to be used in carrying out the project: -questionnaries which will check the effectiveness of teaching using innovative methods and techniques, the knowledge of English culture and dialects -interviews with students and their opinions about impact and benefits of projects -opinion of headteacher about activities and results of project -analysis of exam results The main results of project: -higher motivation to study -better results of students' exams -better knowledge of english language and English reality (culture, traditions, history, literature, geography, politics, religion) among students and teachers -high prestige of school in the region -european standard of institution thanks to making international contacts with schools from different countries, planning and organising students' exchange -cooperation with project's partner IPC in Exeter, long-lasting exchange of experience -propagating different forms of cooperation with partners and benefits which Erasmus Plus programme offers Envisaged impact and potential longer term benefits: The long-lasting effects of project include: the presence of well-qualified and experienced teachers teaching the next generations of students, the long-lasting cooperation with the partner, gaining the skills of taking similar activities in the future, starting cooperation with the next institutions in Europe, better educated students on the european educational market and work market, the higer standard of school and the prestige in the local society. Thanks to international cooperation the students will become more linguistic self-confident, versatile, aware of different problems connected with tolerance, racial discrimination, religion.
