Jazykové vzdělání pro pedagogy - otevřená cesta pro spolupráci
Start date: Jun 1, 2015, End date: May 31, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

Language education for teachers - an open way for cooperation The main reason for this project is the lack of language skills of teachers and school management and lack of awareness of different cultures in Europe, which limits us and hinders in achieving some of the goals of the strategic development of the school. We want our school to be included in the expanding network of European schools which cooperate together on students' projects, share pedagogical and methodological experiences, learn about cultural differences and share their knowledge among different school managements. Solution is to focus on language education of the teachers and school management, to whom language courses abroad must significantly help. Even a short language course in a country where the language is spoken will help significantly improve the language level of all participants and moreover to motivate them for further study. Most of the participants of the project have been currently studying a foreign language and would like to utilize their gained knowledge and skills in the future to their advantage, for the benefit of children who they are educating, and generally in favour of the school. We will complete 16 language courses abroad. The participants will be the teachers of the kindergarten, primary school and low secondary school and the school management. This way the project will have an impact on the majority of the school. We believe that this project will help us to improve the language of the majority of the participants on level B1 to B2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. To achieve this, it is very important that the participants will actively study foreign language not only during the mobilities, but also before and after the course abroad. The impact of the project on teachers, school management and especially school pupils will be crucial in many ways. First of all, we open the way for effective cooperation with schools abroad. Each teacher will be able to realize short-term or long-term project that will exactly suit curriculum. That will enrich lessons and open up new opportunities to pupils. Taking part in eTwinning project is even one of the indicators of the benefits of the project. In the long term knowledge of foreign languages also enables teachers and school management methodically educate abroad and share their methods and teaching experience. We believe that this will open the way for application of the method CLIL (Content and Language Integrating Learning) which we would like to actively use in our school in the future. Finally, although it is the training of teachers and school management, those who will have the main and largest benefit from this project are our pupils.
