Iter - St. Johannis
Start date: Sep 21, 2015, End date: Jun 20, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

Iter-St.Johannis is a project with partners from Germany and Sweden which will give seven young people, with undiscovered opportunities, a chance to do EVS, European Voluntary Service, abroad. The aim is to promote inclusion in society and employment, and create experiences in a European and a global context and empower the youth. The focus will be on the target group who did not complete secondary education and had no natural pathways into employment, young people who are unemployed and could get stuck in a permanent exclusion. To enable this, the project plans to prepare youth and also capture the youth upon returning home by including the group in activities and coaching. Through a motivation- and preparation phase and a follow-up phase funded by the City of Gothenburg we want to reach the target group and also create more opportunities for young people to reach employment, education or work. T he EVS will be conducted in Germany by the host organisation St.Johannis, further on the project aims to broader the partnership. The target group has different interests and needs, which means that activities must reflect these claims. Centre of attention will be on jointly with the partner organizations create activities that feels meaningful and manageable for the youth. Methods used are based on non-formal and informal learning. The project promotes active citizenship, democratic values and human rights.
