The main project objective was overcoming social isolation of young people in rural communities through encouraging their civic participation, enlarging the scope of opportunities on labour market and promoting the creative attitude towards the potential of rural areas. The project activities were organized in Bulgaria in the town of Stara Zagora and 2 nearby villages. Participants were 42 young people form 6 countries - Greece, Romania, Slovenia, Turkey, Ukraine and Bulgaria. The Centre for European Initiatives Foundation acted as a coordinating and receiving organization. The other partner organizations were selected due to their interest in the project problematics as well as to results of previous cooperation projects. For a period of 9 days the young people aged shared information and practices, discussed on cases, participated in role plays and theatre sketches, enriching their knowledge about other cultures. More than 200 local young people were also involved in street actions, forum theatre and other interactive actions /including visit to a farm and milking sheep, donkey racing, knitting a lace, folkdancing workshop/. Six short documentaries answering the question "Why I want to live in the country?" were the visibility products of the project. They were designed by the participants and made during the project program. The documentaries are available on the web sites of the organizations and are accessible for an unlimited number of visitors.
