Irsko-slovenska izmenjava za razvoj outdoor programov

The Irish-Slovenian exchange for the development of outdoor programs was a proceeding of the previous cooperation between partners. The project included partners from two countries and included job shadowing in Irish outdoor centres for 11 CŠOD teachers. Job shadowing lasted from 16 to 23 August 2015. CŠOD was the project applicant and fully organized and coordinated the project. Landon Carver was the host organization and organized all regarding accommodation, transport and arrangements with outdoor centers in Ireland. A group of 11 teachers from CŠOD, of different ages and from different centers and parts of Slovenia, participated in one week program in Irish centers. Participants experienced the implementation of the outdoor program, environmental research and environmental topics for elementary school students and other children. Participants took part in the program, observed, and gained first-hand experience. Participants followed a program in one center for two days, and then went to another center. This enabled the participants to get experiences from two centres. In the centers, the participants learned about Irish approach of implementing outdoor program. They gain experience, observe and learn new techniques and methods, how to incorporate new techniques and didactic tools into their work in Slovenia. They learned about the way of work in the Irish centers. They talked with instructors at the daily reporting. The schedule was coordinated by the participants and managers of each center. The program enabled also improving language skills. Participants receive Europass Mobility certificate. Participants developed also relations and contacts with their colleagues in Ireland for cooperation in the future.
