Start date: Sep 1, 2016, End date: Aug 31, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

This project is the school general education organisation of "Liceo Maria Ausiliatrice-SMA" response to the increasing request of international professional competences for teachers and the project wishes to also address the ever increasing request of international linguistic English language-focused learning and integration for students. This school organisation also recognises opposition to the learning failure of the students as own educational policy priority, and this initiative will be positive in preventing leaving school early as a result of inadequate academic performance. The initiative has the following objectives: introducing and empowering cooperative learning strategies as the best educational resources in enhancing entrepreneurship and leadership skills in learners; empowering new and improved professional competences in the teachers leading the subjects for which English language is required; acquiring better key competences for evaluation tools by teaching staff; to encourage the exchange of best practices in education. The staff will be composed of eighteen (18) people, the selection criteria will depend on the key roles managed in the school and secondly on the minimun of two (2) years that each staff member has been teaching in the school. The development phase envisages: as flow 1 (one), international mobility by the executive school staff to develop job shadowing by visiting British hosting schools, with the purpose of facilitating the exchange of best practices and the knowledge of the organisation of the British school system; as flow 2 (two) international mobility by the participating school staff to develop job shadowing. The preparation phase envisages the following activities: establishment of agreements with the hosting schools to facilitate staff job shadowing; staff information, selection and training; practical travel arrangements; sharing of knowledge and information among staff members of the schools using the "Etwinning" platform. The three school staff leaders (for primary, secondary, high school), together with their assistants and experts, will carry out and monitor the above-mentioned activities. The participating staff will conduct impact and dissemination by organising events dedicated to families and schools of the neighborough, editing and publicising the project on the school journal and website. After the mobility action staff will keep in touch with the British hosting schools' staff also using "Etwinning", in order to provide integrated educative actions and strategies for students and students' international exchanges between the participating school and the hosting school. The planned activities are recognised to provide European added value to the international education already aimed for by the participating school.
