The project strategy is based on combination of investments in infrastructure and activities for promotion of the objects, the current state of which will be improved as a result of the investments. These activities for reconstruction and preservation of objects with territorial proximity are complemented by working out of a common tourism development plan and the promotion of the sites, which is focused on revealing information about their accessibility, the history of the cultural objects and the species that inhabit the natural objects. Thus their significance is being proclaimed. This info is being provided to the local population and the tourists in the area (by the functioning of the visitor centre and by the placement of informational plaques) and to the mass audience (by the creation of a web-site and a tourist map). Achievements: The project performed a combination of investments in infrastructure and activities for promotion of historical objects, which were improved as a result of the investments. The investment site of Tundzha municipality comprised reconstruction of existing municipal road JAM 3110/JAM 2110 – Yambol – village of Kabile – Monastery Virgin Marys Birth. Reconstruction included also widening the roadway for vehicles, building new pedestrian walkway on the left side of the road, and repairs of the parking lot at the end of the road beside the monastery. Plaques containing information in Bulgarian and English language about the rampart Erkesia passing nearby were also placed at the remains of this old fortification structure.The investment site of TRAKAB was situated in the town of Enez, and it comprised reconstruction of existing street Kale street which has central location in the town. Reconstruction included re-pavement of the street, placing curbs, building new street lighting system and establishing benches and waste bins.The activities for reconstruction and preservation of objects with territorial significance were complemented by working out of a common tourism development plan and the promotion of the sites, which is focused on revealing information about their accessibility, the history of the cultural objects. Thus their significance has being proclaimed. Information was targeted to the local population and the tourists in the area (by placement of informational plaques) and to the mass audience (by the creation of a web-site and a tourist map).The project has been successfully accomplished in January 2013.
