“Investir no presente para tecer o futuro”- Project’s main goal is to provide school with training session that coach teachers for 21st century challenges. Well trained teachers are able to promote their pupils’s learning skills in order to face 21st century needs.Context/background of project; Agrupamento de Escolas de Infias, Vizela was born in 2005/ 2007 and it’s located in Vizela, Braga, northern Portugal. At present has 1400 children/ pupils, in 57 classes, from Kindergarten to High School.Agrupamento de Escolas de Infias Vizela was involved in Comenius projects in the past. In the year 2013 it was clear the need to develop international and European projects in order to access 21st century skills. That’s why this project is based in three targets for Europe 2020: employment;. education; fighting poverty and social exclusion.With this project we want to assure internationalization and training for teaching staff in order to achieve better skills and teaching methods, we want to embody our school motto “Investir no presente para tecer o future”- to invest in the present to weave the future.That’s why we have chosen priority training skills: foreign languages proficiency; use od ICT in classroom; better skills to deal with Special Needs students. Training aboard will lead to the foundation of an European network of contacts in order to find suitable partners for KA2 Erasmus partnerships and etwinning projects.ObjectivesThis Project objectives’ are based in three priorities of European Agenda for 2020: Objective 1. To promote the use of new technologies and digital competences; Objective 2. To promote foreign languages proficiency; Objective 3. To contribute for better school learning and fighting school failure; Objective 4. To promote the inclusion of Special Needs students;Objective 5. To bring out a School with good practices in European level.Number and profile of participants;This Project is addressed to 22 teachers. They can teach any level or school subject.Description of the activities The main activities –structured courses- are organized in eight different flows along 24 months. Also part of the project: preparation and evaluation meetings; dissemination events (Seminars, courses) and publication of results.Methodology to be used in carrying out the project;Collaborative working, overall enrichment, insight into professional practices and diversity of education systems, creation of common products and involving in international communitiesResults and impact previstos Reduce the disadvantages in access to education, to fight early school leaving and to have better quality in teaching (which will raise, in ling term, de employability rates; also to minimize social exclusion and promote European dimension trough international projects, such as citizenship bases on linguistic skills.Potential short and long term benefitsShort term benefits (during the first year of the project)- Better teaching tools that can bring up school results and decrease early school leaving;- Better methods in preparing students for life, specially Special Education students.- Student and teachers enrolment in Erasmus+, KA2 projects- Promotion of a positive, dynamic and international image of SchoolLong term benefits:- our school will set up a team of qualified European staff trainers, able to use Europass documents; - reinforcement of European dimension in school curricula.Results will have different impacts: school, local, regional, national
