Internationalizarea stagiului de practica pedagogica al viitorilor invatatori
Start date: Oct 1, 2015, End date: Sep 30, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

In Romania, primary education is still achieved by traditional means, the curricula, the methodology, the logistics and the formative training of school teachers are not concordant with modern technologies’ era. Digital textbooks have been issued and tablets have been promised to all pupils, but are school teachers able and prepared to work with such a school approach? Unfortunately, they are not. There is a lack of formative training concerning this particular issue, of the pre-school teaching, mostly dealing with outdated teaching methods, which nowadays pupils take no interest in. Evaluation, under all its aspects, remains a blind spot within the Romanian educational system. The project concerns a group of 15 students from “Vasile Lupu” Pedagogical Highschool, the vocational profile, elementary teachers. The participants will accomplish a two-week practical stage, between 2016, 05, 02 and 2016, 05, 16, in two elementary schools, chosen by our partner, Esmovia Spain. The trainee students will watch, notice and write down in their papers which they will make along the programme. The aspects they will insist upon and which imply our project’s aims will concern the assessment process and that of integration of new technologies, such as the tablet and the interactive whiteboard, in the teaching/learning processes of the children in the primary school. This stage aims at the following objectives: 1. Developing the competences of assessment integration in each step of the lesson: evaluation forms and tools. 2. Developing the competences of new technologies integration: the tablet in the teaching/learning process in primary school. 3. Developing the competences of new technologies integration: the interactive whiteboard in the teaching/learning process in primary school. 4. Developing the competence of inter-cultural communication, within professional contexts. In order to achieve these aims, the pupils will perform tasks such as: 1. Notice and write down in the stage notebook the strategies of integration the assessment types during the class, in all its steps (types, forms, tools); 2. Notice and write down in the stage notebook the used modern mean and methods (tablets, the interactive whiteboard, the computer etc.) 3. Conceive the lesson plan which correctly integrates the evaluation and the new technologies; 4. Find out about the curricula and other pedagogical documents in order to learn the objectives and to prepare the lesson plans; 5. Perform some lesson sequences, working in a team with the stage tutor/teacher. The participant students will communicate in Spanish, which they had learnt before, obtaining the minimum A level and in English, which they learn in school, known by tutors as well as by the mentor of the Esmovia organization. Spanish is also a Latin language, so the principles of the languages inter-comprehension are to be noticed: the use of transparent words. The students from the Pedagogical Highschool, who train to become elementary teachers, will face a new environment, in which they will have to use competences they have developed so far, but, at the same time, they will acquire new knowledge and abilities, following the educational demands, stipulated in the elementary school curricula. Out of a total of 260 stage classes a year, the students will accomplish 60, along the two-week stage, time which allows them to fully integrate the new educational environment. Thus, the Romanian students will have the opportunity of developing their key competences by integrating learning to practical work during the practice stage: learning to learn, developing the competence of communicating in a foreign language as well as their cultural, social, civic and digital competences. This stage will have as impact on the “Vasile Lupu” Pedagogical Highschool students: - competences development concerning the making up of activities including the whiteboard and the tablet, through the dissemination made by the participants during the pedagogical stage classes; - development of the competences required by the assessment integration with the lesson steps, through demonstrative lessons and consulting the portfolios of the mobility participants. For the future, the managerial development plan of our institution will include strategic objectives to develop and improve modern methods of teaching and of assessment, stressing the new technologies integration within the teaching-learning process in primary schools, taking into account this mobility experience. The “Vasile Lupu” Pedagogical Highscool Iasi will recommend the School Inspectorate and the Didactic Chamber of our district, providers of continuous training, they should organize training courses related to integrating the whiteboard and the tablet with the didactic activity for elementary teachers.
