Our project mainly tries to speed up the internationalization of our still young school (It was founded in 2003). We aim to offer our students best chances on the job market, modern learning techniques and fun to learn. In our global world foreign languages are getting more and more important. This is why we started to organize student exchanges, Comenius multilateral partnerships as well as CLIL-lessons recently. All those efforts have the aim to support our students in their language acquisition and their development of interest towards learning foreign languages. This is why the school intends to send some colleagues abroad to intensify and broaden their methodology when teaching foreign languages, give them ideas on how to teach CLIL successfully and to learn a new foreign language - Italian. In acting as a role model when it comes to cultural awareness and open-mindedness the school hopes to encourage the students to do as such and to raise their wish to learn a language or go abroad, too. Concerning the seminar on methodology of teaching CLIL we intend to send two teachers who teach English and a second subject that can be taught bilingually, we will put stress on the fact that there should be two different subjects involved. English-methodology will be attended by one teacher which is enough to bring back new methods of teaching English and disseminate among the English department. The Italian language course should also be attended by two teachers who are willing and then able to support the two teachers on our school who can speak Italian. They will, in the near future, accompany the students on their trips to Italy and help to organize the visit in Erding. After the seminars the school expects the English lessons to be even more full of new and various methods, the teachers to be even better role models - as they improved their classroom English, as well, and encourage the students to have fun learning English. The school hopes to be able to offer more subjects bilingually and the CLIL-lessons should be improved further. For our student exchange programs there can be more teachers who will travel and help with the organization in Erding so that we can establish this marvelous experience for our students on a regular base. In addition to that we hope, that even more students realize, how important languages are in their lives, how interesting other cultures are and what an asset international friends can be. The school will get a more international focus and show, that a vocational high school can also stress learning languages as an important aim.
