Internationaliseringsproject Reformatorisch Primair Onderwijs Urk
Start date: Jun 1, 2015, End date: May 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

If reformatory schools in Urk (a place where 99% of the children speak dialect and their inherent no television), we have a big disadvantage compared to the national average in terms of English. The teachers give for most English classes in Dutch. We want to give a huge boost to the English in our schools to prevent failure in secondary education and children get more into contact with internationalization. Therefore, we have: * Purchased a new English method for all groups (My Name is Tom lower classes, higher classes Stepping Up) * Attracted a native speaker * As teachers a college English (to 2016) In order for teachers to make classes more attractive and to attend classes full display in English to 33 teachers from three reformatory schools Urk midweek to Maidstone for a course at a training school there led by Driestar Educational Gouda. All teachers make advance an intake which is at least one written question doctrine where this midweek answer is to be found. A portfolio is constructed with useful materials. All participants will also visit an English primary school to see how English as the CLIL principle can be applied to us in Urk. Revenues during this excursion will be assessed in an assessment by the management. In addition, all teachers follow Holm Woods 'speak English' over the initial hesitation to come back. In the longer term, we expect more enthusiastic teachers regarding English, which no longer give English as a separate subject but integrated in a half-day full English (partly TTO). The proceeds of the ME2 Cito Test will be higher and the teachers can get work points from this test. There will also be entered into correspondence links with English-speaking schools abroad
