Holbaek Municipality has initiated an effort to increase the internationalization of study programs undertaken in the municipality. This has prompted the Executive Board of Holbaek Municipality to setting a development plan that aims to prepare the young people in Holbaek to meet the demands of a globalized world. In the project Holbaek step in the plan together with the partners by creating a common understanding and platform for how the next steps can be taken towards the internationalization of the study programs.The project has three partners.Applicant is Holbaek municipality that has recently undergone an organizational restructuring that has caused that the department, which is responsible for education for all between 15 and 30 now, is located in a newly started Department. The partners are 10th grade center, UngHolbæk and Erhvervsudviklngscenter Nordvestsjælland which already works closely together with the schools in Holbaek, Odsherred and Kalundborg.The overall objective of the project is to bring the participating institutions to a higher international level by catching up and learn from the experience of relevant European countries and partners for achieving the goal that 95% of young people should complete upper secondary education.In that relation the project has two parallel specific objectives. First, participants in the mobilities shall identify foreign institutions that have good experience in solving the problems that are defined as areas in the project. Second, the goal for the mobilities is to build a strong international sustainable European collaboration networks.The project consists of five main phasesPhase 1. Establishing of the partnership. Participants are participating in a workshop where they work with the specific individual and common problems they want to work with in the project. Teams are composed for the first 6 mobilities with a total of 12 participantsPhase 2 Implementation of mobilities.Phase 3 Exchange of experience and experience building. Based on these experiences, it is decided jointly whether there are any ideas for projects, which already can be initiated. Measures for the next four mobilities from each partner institution will be decided.Phase 4 Implementation of targeted mobilities. Each partner institution implements 2 X 4 mobilities. Around the middle of the phase completes another experience exchange workshop for all participants where agreements are adjusted plans and priorities for the remaining mobilities in this phase and any projects that can be launched already at this time.Phase 5 Final experience and decisions on future developments, as well as the organization of a knowledge dissemination conference with the participation of relevant stakeholders from Region Zealand in relation to the Region Zealand Competence Ready 2020 initiative.
