Internationale Fortbildung für STAFF aus Einrichtungen der frühkindlichen Bildung - Das italienische System der frühkindlichen Bildung -
Start date: Aug 1, 2014, End date: May 31, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

This project originates under the cooperation of the Institut für lebenslanges Lernen der FORTIS-FAKULTAS GmbH (The Institute for Lifelong Learning, DE) and Eurocultura (IT). The project should take place in the region of Vicenza between September and November 2014 and should consist of two one week’s stays for kindergarten directors, deputy directors as well as qualified initial training staff of Saxon nursery schools. The facilities of the local educational courses provide very limited or no possibilities to experience new forms of training courses or to attend training courses in other European countries. In spite of that there is no influence of the information, practical attitudes, methods and didactic information from other regions/countries which would allow a quality development of the range of the local educational courses. The aim of this project is to satisfy the information and knowledge needs of the participants who have already signed for the course. In their organizations, the participants deal with the tasks of staff management, leading positions, organizing and performing educational courses, working with the parents, training courses as well as practical usage of the pedagogical principles (best practice models). The expected result of the project is primarily to satisfy the need of knowledge of the participants. Moreover, we would like to provide our participants with the experience of a positive influence of an educational course in an international context. This experience should result in the future work of the participants, who are responsible for performing leading tasks and/or educational and training courses in their organizations. The quality development of educational courses through international influence should be recognized and integrated in the future development of the educational courses facilities. Further on, the participants should find out that it is possible to develop, perform and finance international educational courses or local cooperation structures with the current personal and organizational resources which means that the present local educational courses are also realizable in an international context. This project supports the European Strategy of 2020 in the fields of employment and education. International educational courses enable the participating organizations to present itselves as innovative and open to new attitudes, which could have a positive influence on acquiring new staff. This supports the European Union in its aim to integrate 75% of people between 20 and 64 years of age into the working process. In Germany, the education of kindergartners takes place in vocational schools as well as in colleges as bachelor programmes nowadays. The facility of international educational courses should make the occupation as a kindergartner more attractive for future applicants. It should possibly also motivate the organizations to complete parts of the education abroad. Especially vocational schools enable German people without an A level exam to achieve a qualified education and a future employment. That is why the project contributes to the fight against poverty and social separation since it provides or supports the possibility of qualified education and occupation.
