International ProAktivity Summit 2016

The International ProAktivity Summit 2016 is an initiative of a group of young professional and young entrepreneurs from different backgrounds and experiences aiming at empowering young people to be the social and economic drivers of our time. According to Eurostat statistics, in August 2015, 4.610 million young persons were unemployed in the EU-28, of whom 3.131 million were in the euro area. Providing effective solutions for this problem is to contribute decisively to the economic and social recovery of Europe as a whole. The International ProAktivity Summit 2016 will bring together decision-makers, successful entrepreneurs, business executives and social changers in order to discuss two main issues: youth entrepreneurship and the so-called “second chance policy proposal. The Summit aims at enhancing the youth with the proper attitude, the needed skills and the useful networks, in order to carry out with their entrepreneurial and social projects.Concretely, the main objectives are the followings:- Create a useful and pragmatic debate between the youth, the business sector and the policy makers. - Promotion of entrepreneurship as a real career choice and a feasible way to contribute positively to both society and economic recovery.- Acquisition of soft skills that will empowered the youth with the appropriate tools to face the needs of the current labor market. - Raise awareness among the youth on the importance of both civil and political participation.- Raise awareness among the youth about our European identity by making them encounter the problems and solutions that different EU member states are giving to the same issues and helping them to create a solution Europe-oriented.The participants involved are 90 youngsters coming from 8 different European countries. Their average age is 24 years old. They will be represented by university students, young professionals and young entrepreneurs.Summit's phases:1. Definition of the program: Setting the right topic for the Summit is vital for a correct definition of goals, target group, participants profile, speakers and stakeholders. The definition of the program will also include the definition of the correct format for each one of the program described activities. The format should ensure a better acquisition of knowledge and soft skills by the participants. It must be dynamic, practical and interactive and it should be defined aiming at making the participant's participation be the biggest asset of the Summit. The definition of the program will be conducted by YouthProAktiv.2. Partners selection and engagement: See point D. second question. 3. Speakers selection: Speakers will be carefully selected by YouthProAktiv. Speakers will be detailed explained both the aims and goals of the Summit and the whole program of the Summit itself and the participants profile in order to make sure that the expected outcomes of the Summit are fully understood by the speakers.4. Promotion of the Summit: It will be conducted both by YouthProAktiv and national partners through both internal and external/institutional channels. 5. Participants selection: It will be conducted by national partners. Each partner will be in charge of the selection of the participants from its country. This phase will count with three sub-phase: on-line application, Skype call with pre-selected candidates and Summit preparation of the selected participants.6. See pointH.2The expected results are the followings: - Creation and connection of a generation of proactive youth ready to contribute to their societies by creating jobs. - Increased participants knowledge on entrepreneurship, project management and failing experience as well as acquisition of soft skills.- Development and strengthen of participants awareness of their European Identity.- Increased of the participants political and social engagement. -Increased of the participants personal and professional network of international contacts.- Strengthening of the European network of youth organizations working on entrepreneurship, proactivity and personal development.The International ProAktivity Summit 2016 is aiming at creating a generation of proactive individuals ready to start their entrepreneurial path as the way to effectively contribute with their society. The dissemination of the results among the participants, will be an ongoing process that hopes to bound together and expand this new generation. Participants from different countries will be expected to keep in touch through different on-line and to promote themselves the outcomes of the Summit among their friends and personal and professional contacts in a global compromise to expand and strengthen this emerged new generation.
