International Exchange: Building Inclusive Societies (Intercambio Internacional: Construyendo Sociedades Inclusivas)

The project 'Building Inclusive Societies' tries to promote among young european people the building of a more inclusive Europe. They project´s main activity is a youth exchange between 60 youngsters from 17 to 25 yeras old that come from 10 different european countries: Romania, Croatia, Slovakia, Czeck Republic, Hungary, Latvia, Germany, Finland, France and Spain. The youth exchange will take place in Madrid from the 23rd to the 27th of April 2016, and among other activities, young people will participate on workshops, discussion forums, sessions leaded by experts, intercultural and linguistic activities, and a visit to an exposition realted to the topic of the exchange. The participants will also present some social inclusion projects in which they have participated, ie. with Roma comunities and inmigrants from different nationalities, and they will develop their own social inclusion projects of european scope.Our project includes, on top of the youth exchange, some preparatory activites before the exchange, while participants are on the countries of origin, and a follow up phase in which two of the projects generated during the exchange will be put into practice.The main objectives of the project can be structured on two levels: the ones that will result from the living and working together of young people from 10 different european nationalities, and the objectives related to the main topic of the exchange, the construction of a more inclusive Europe. In relation to the first level, the objetives are the adquisition of soft skills by participants, the practice of multiple languages, a multicultural experience, to promote the sense of European citizenship, and networking. All this will will make the participants gain on employability and on mobility when looking for an employment.In relation to the second level, the objetives of the exchange related to the building of a more inclusive Europe, they could be resumed on the following: rasing awareness of young people on the reality and problems that some groups face (Roma people, inmigrants and refugees, and other groups at risk of discrimination) the improvement of the inclusion projects that are already been implemented by the different youth organization particpating on the exchange, and the generation of new projects among the participant associations that will have as aim the improvement of the reality of those groups at risk of exclusion, specially those of european scope.
