Interkulturelle Begegnung-eine Chance für uns? - neue Erfahrung für junge Menschen mit geringen Chancen
Start date: May 1, 2016, End date: Sep 30, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

For this summer, the Hans-Wendt-Foundation is planning a multilateral youth exchange in Bremen, carrying the title “Intercultural exchange – a chance for us? – new experiences for young people with fewer chances”. We would like to work on this topic together with groups from Gdansk (Poland), Avilés (Spain) and Vizelas (Portugal) in creative workshops in mixed small groups in order to enhance the communication among the participants. The primary goal is to raise the level of key competencies through combined action during all phases of the project (Preparation, Project Phase, Evaluation, Dissemination and Visualisation), a process into which the participants will be included as early as possible. Together with our project partners, the young people shall be offered the opportunity to gain intercultural and international experiences in a safe setting. The youth exchange will start on July 20, 2016, and will finish on July 29, 2016. 32 young people (8 per country) will participate, accompanied by 8 pedagogical professionals (2 per country). Apart from the creative workshops, the program consists of a rallye through Bremen, an excursion to the North Sea, an intercultural evening, getting-to-know-each-other and teambuilding methods, units for evaluation and reflection, Infos about Erasmus+ and Youthpass and enough free time for the participants’ self-organised activities. The accomodation will be in a self-catering house in the vicinity of Bremen, the common meals and the kitchen work will be organised in mixed small groups.
