Intergeneration Dialogue. Part II

The main aim of the project is to share best tools of youth work created by EVS volunteers in field of intergeneration dialogue between children, young people and elderly people from deprived urban areas of Donetsk and its surrounding, which leads to development of democratic and open society in Donetsk region of Ukraine.6 volunteers from 6 European countries - Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Portugal, Romania, Spain - will continue work started by EVS volunteers in frame of “European Dimension of Intergeneration Dialogue” involving Ukrainian youngsters as translators and helpers, in Ukrainian youth centres in deprived urban areas of Donetsk and its surrounding, providing children and seniors with activities related to non-formal education, with special accent to outdoor and rassroots sport activities, language animation classes, intercultural sessions, hand-craft activities.The project activities will last 9 months - from October, 2013 till June, 2014. 6 SO and 1 HO which is also playing role of CO are involved. Project is developed and organised in close cooperation of all the partners involved. All the activities of the project are based on methods of non-formal education and involves tools of youth work created by previous volunteers. Local authorities of hosting city will be involved both by financial and logistical support.
