INTERDISCIPLINARY AQUARIA FOR THE PROMOTION OF ENVIRONMENT AND HISTORY (APREH)

The specific project aims at the creation of museums for the promotion of the marine environment and the cultural heritage. The idea of the project is to prepare a show of archaeological remains with a reproduction of the relicts on the sea bottom covered and modified by the sea and its living organisms. The above objective will be achieved through the realization of: • A detailed collection of information on bottom habitats and historical relicts in the participating areas • Joint short scuba surveys to document actual situations, with the development of a GIS MAP • Scenes (DIORAMA) with the reproduction of an ancient ship-relict with all its cargo in position. • Aquarium • A Documentation Point where people can study (a LIBRARY), discuss and/or communicate (a small Conference Hall)
