Intercultural learning revisited - It's the divers

The activities within the youth exchange (following YE) “Intercultural learning revisited - It's the diversity that counts!” is a direct follow-up project of the YE “It's the diversity that counts!” which was realized in summer 2010 in Prijedor, Bosnia-Herzegovina. According to the results of the final evaluation there the intense wish of partners and participants to continue working and promoting the themes of “diversity” and “intercultural learning”. Therefore the present project “Intercultural learning revisited - It's the diversity that counts!” is aimed to deepen the exchange about personal concepts of diversity and intercultural learning, to analyze the dynamics of conflicts, and to discuss possibilities for the promotion of diversity and intercultural learning as well as to discuss the question of necessary characteristics and abilities for this promotion on local and European level. The project will therefore encourage the young self-awareness by showing the participants how it is possible to achieve sustainable results in cooperation with other young people with the aim to overcome racism, xenophobia and exclusion and to promote diversity among youth. The YE will be realized in Prijedor, the second largest municipality in the Republika Srpska within Bosnia-Herzegovina with 36 participants from neighbouring partner countries and programme countries in the period 23.3.-3.4.2012.
