Intercultural learning and understanding
Start date: Aug 1, 2008,

In line with the year of Intercultural Dialogue 2008, this project aims to send the volunteer around in Sweden and together with volunteers from YFU Sweden visit schools to meet young people and raise awarness of intercultural learning and understanding. There is already a concept to use and to develop even more called "Colour Glasses" which has been tried sucesfully in other European countries. The aim is to visit many cities and schools, and to meet as many young people as possible. The goal is to start a dialogue and raise the awarness so that the young people understand and show other cultures a greater tolerance. This is in line with the mission statement for YFU, but also a need within the Swedish society today since there are more and more different people and culturs mixed but also more hate and raisism. To carry out this project YFU Sweden has chosen an EVS volunteer from Germany, how will stary from August 2008 to March 2009.
