Intensivierung der Auseinandersetzung mit der frühkindlichen Bildungs-, Erziehungs- und Betreuungspraxis im schwedisch- deutschen Austausch
Start date: Jun 1, 2014, End date: May 31, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

The idea for a project to intensify the pedagogical work on early-childhood education and supervision concepts in a Swedish-German exchange grew in the course of the educational subject “Unterschiedlichkeit und Vielfalt” (Difference and Plurality) as a new aspect to the practice-integrated training (PIA) at the “Private Fachschule für Sozialpädagogik in Freiburg”. The project aims at giving our students the possibility to experience the implementation of the innovative, Swedish curriculum (Lpfö 98 for pre-schools) first hand and to watch new early-childhood methods in practice in the daily routine of a Swedish nursery school. Participants of the project will be eight future nursery teachers, who at the time of project execution will be in the last year of their training. In the line of the project the participants will sit in on a Swedish nursery school individually or paired in two. Thereby, they will experience the Swedish routine of education and supervision as well as the implementation of the Swedish curriculum in workday life. Furthermore, supported by the government the participants will explore conceptual characteristics and the variety of possible training for skilled workers in the field of childhood education In the long run the project intends to invigorate the transnational exchange of professional practice in the field of early-childhood education. It will promote the development of new socio pedagogical methods and innovative concepts of education and it will increase professional mobility and cosmopolitanism of nursery teachers in Europe. The nursery teachers in training are very interested in Swedish environmental awareness, the way Sweden deals with gender mainstreaming in pre-schools and in Swedish integration and prevention measures for children from underprivileged educational backgrounds, children with disabilities, children in need of special care and children from families with different cultural background.
