The CVJM Blaustein e. V. is located in Blaustein, a village with approximately 15,000 inhabitants only 10km away from the well-known city Ulm. Our organization offers various leisure activities not only for kids, teens and young adults but also for senior citizens. Our standard offer includes: winter and summer camp for children at the age of 8 up to 15 years, afternoon coffee for senior citizens, weekly groups for kids and teenagers (TEN SING - music pedagogical project of 12 months each), cooperation with schools (i.e. info meetings about topics such as risk prevention for Internet, alcohol, drugs etc and assistance/care during homework hours), excursions.• •The CVJM Blaustein e. V. counts 140 members whereas approx. 20 members are working on a permanent however unpaid basis. We are member of the Evang. Jugendwerk, the CVJM Landesverband as well as the international YMCA organization. Additionally we have a strong cooperation with the local protestant churches and the local community. With all these institutions we follow a strong co-operation (training, common activities, e. g. fund raising for street kids etc.). Already after having been accredited the first time we had the chance to welcome various EVS volunteers at Blaustein and to send two volunteers to EVS projects abroad. Our initial aim, i.e. to offer young people the chance to get in touch with the German culture, language und people is still unchanged. The projects done so far have proofed that also our local kids showed a high interest and enthusiasm about Europe and EVS. We therefore would be more than pleased to foster European awareness and repect among young people of different nations.
