Integrating Digital Resources and Voice Science into modern European Vocal Pedagogy: Developing, training and presenting non-formal vocal methods for the modern voice teacher emphasizing computer/web-based resources and voice analysis tools.

Integrating Digital Resources into modern European Vocal Pedagogy. The planned partnerships are conceived as a series of 1) Europe-wide training sessions for trainers, staff and local voice teachers, 2) week-long vocal pedagogy courses for voice teachers and trainees, and 3) the presentation and dissemination of the results of the partnerships at a European Vocal Pedagogy Congress. The sessions and courses in Germany, Italy, Austria and Latvia will seek to improve local/national partner participant's digital competencies as well as their knowledge, skills and qualifications in non-formal and innovative vocal methods. The partnerships will also focus on raising the quality of crossover-style and cross-cultural non-formal teaching aimed at youths and seniors. Integrating young trainees and new voice teachers into most aspects of the partnerships will improve long-term European cooperation and cultural exchange. The initial training session will train national partner's staff in more effective use of their association websites. The second training session will instruct partner's voice teachers in hands-on use of computer/web-based resources and voice analysis software. European Vocal Pedagogy weeks will develop and test the digital non-formal and innovative vocal pedagogical methods and solutions using ideas and methods initially developed in a previous LLP LEO Partnerships Grant. The results of the partnerships will be presented and disseminated by EVTA and its partners in print and media forms; and at the Eurovox Congress in 2012 using web-based communications, such as live-event streaming, video-conferencing, social networking websites, etc.
