“Insanity for sane people: sports core of the life”
Start date: May 1, 2015, End date: Oct 31, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

Inovatyvi karta together with NGO "Prasminga veikla" initiates a long term project "Insanity for sane people" with participants involved both in youth field and active lifestyle. The experts of the project "Prasminga veikla" identified the following challenges: there is need for a cheaper way of learning how to run various methods in the field of outdoor activities. Thus we see value in the idea of exchanging existing practices, adapting them to our local contexts and learning by doing i.e. developing some methods with and for young people outdoors. We seek to show how one could change only in 8-days training with the help of sports and healthy food. Physiotherapists will check participant's condition before and after trainings in order to see the reached difference only in short period of time. We believe that the best motivator is a good example therefore participants will get the know- how to use sports in an every days life without or with only very little costs. Another very important thing to be reached is adaptability of existing methodologies used for outdoor activities with young people. In this case we are combining every days active lifestyle with non- formal education methods in youth work. To be more concrete, we are initiating a longterm project based on several phases, which will be implemented on local and international levels. Here are the specific objectives of the entire project: 1. To clearly understand the need and importance of sport and healthy life; 2. To analyse and match it with the needs and requirements of identified target groups within the partners of this project. 3. To adapt and customise it with non-formal education methodologies as required and test it with inclusion of target groups of youth. 4. To review and disseminate achieved results and learn from gained experience. A variety of educational tools and methods of non-formal learning and interactive participant orientated approaches as role plays, simulations, workshops, exercises theatre tools, debate sessions and presentations will be combined during the Activity. We are planning to use methodology according to the youth pass but as well we are about to improve the following competences of participants: Being able to judge the quality and effectiveness of performance, make informed decisions on improving the quality, develop action plans to improve the quality and plan for sustained involvement in physical activity; Knowledge of importance and results of active lifestyle combined with healthy food; Willingness to learn more how to motivate other people to change their life‘s and ability to communicate with people from diverse culture on youth work matters; Control of emotions to enable fair play and to cope with stress. The effects of mental preparation for performance: relaxation, focusing, raising confidence. We do expect that partners will establish new partnerships and will develop concrete projects within Erasmus + programme, using active lifestyle as a core. Our missions is to encourage people and involve them into physical activity and healthy nutrition as natural part of their daily routine. We truly believe that the cooperation of two organizations are able to motivate others to change their lifestyle and to be willing to do it as a life-long programme. Each partner commits to continue the local activities with learning outcomes from the training course. We consider local transfer workshops as additional measures of dissemination and exploitation of results achieved during this training course. We aim that increased competences of our participants will enable to upgrade some of our youth work programmes and projects and make them more attractive for inclusion groups; to make them more participatory as sports are based on action, adventure, challenge, teamwork, etc. We consider these aspects being important for young people and creating big potential for greater youth involvement. The activity will consist in a Training Course, to be held in village of Markutiškės, Trakai district, Lithuania, from 26th of July to 31th July, 2015 and later on all the group will move to another village Perloja in Varėna district, Lithuania from 31th July to 3rd August, 2015. We will have 8 partners ( 24 participants), 3 experts (Lithuanian freelance trainers, one living in Greece) and 3 staff from coordinator side: in total 30 persons.
