„Innovative One” project is an integral part of implementing strategy of the school leadership to organize the learning environment so it actively involves the talent of the students, initiative of the staff and stakeholders and the capacities of the school facilities. The project capitalizes on the trust of local working life for the youth to contribute to sustainable development and social change . The aim of the Project is to build professional and generic competences of the staff so they are capable of integrating innovation pedagogy principles and methods into their teaching, coaching, using educational technologies and managing facilities so that learning occurs in meaningful working life and intercultural contexts. The direct beneficiaries of the Project are 14 persons –leaders of subject and divergent problem units, along with administrative staff so that the educational development is sustainable and of highest quality. The activities of the Project will include: training sessions and intercultural workshops, webinars, job shadowing, teaching assignments, innovations week/camp, Open Space conferences for local teachers. Project team will be supported by experts and leaders of Social Sciences Faculty, University of Gdansk who lead in implementing Innovation Pedagogy in Polish Higher Education Area. The growth in the competences will be ensured through introducing the teachers to „hatchery” method (learning through research, development and innovation in response to working life real assignments), gamefication, CLIL, Open Space discussions, innovation camps, coaching, e-twinning. Drama, Web 2.0 and other alternative and non-formal methods will be explored as well.The result of the Project will be the increase in competences of the school staff and higher awareness of methods and processes for learning in tune with working life dynamics. The Project impact will be sustainable for diverse beneficiaries, the entire staff, students, parents and local community. The workshops, training session and Project will result in more confident teaching and managing staff who in turn will help the students identify and solve real life problems and the parents or other stakeholders contribute to local innovation eco-system.
