Innovative Methoden in Europa zur Prävention des frühzeitigen Abbruchs von Berufsausbildung
Start date: Feb 1, 2016, End date: Dec 31, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

"Internationaler Bund Süd" is one of the largest providers of education, youth and social work in Bavaria and the region of Wuerttemberg. Due to the economic structure in these regions it puts a special focus on vocational training in order to satisfy the big demand for well qualified employees. Unfortunately, there is an alarming increase of the drop-out rate among students involved in vocational training. As this problem is not only a German phenomenon, but a European one, this project aims at gaining insight into new and innovative methods in the area of preventing early termination of vocational training. IB staff engaged in VET shall be sent to other European organizations for job shadowing to learn how this problem is dealt with in other European countries. The experiences of the outgoing staff will be collected, analyzed and adapted to the local conditions. In a test phase the new methods will be implemented in the participating VET schools.
