San Pedro Salesian School is a bilingual school for the Kindergarten and Primary sections. Within a period of four years, this bilingual project will expand to the rest of the sections, namely secondary education, post-secondary education (6th Form-A-levels) and Vocational Training. We have a wide experience both in the arrangement of internships abroad and in student exchange programs for secondary and post-secondary school. This initiative towards bringing Europe closer would be incomplete without the training of our teaching team. And it does not only involve training in terms of language, but also in terms of methodology and culture. It is for this reason that we wanted our teachers were formed in CLIL methodology, providing them with tools to develop classroom work system increasingly similar to that of any European country. The course has been held with SWAN in Dublin. This company has a wide professional experience in the English language and its culture. Their courses are aimed at both students and teachers. Besides, SWAN are also members of distinguished associations and will not only be in charge of the course, but also of the trip and accommodation for the students. The course had a duration of two weeks in which teachers have developed different methodologies and new techniques to teach their subject in L2. Specifically : It is for this reason that the first interested in attending this course were teachers who were involved in bilingual education with an accredited their certified B1/B2 English levels and their autonomy. Given the characteristics of the course, the number of teachers who applied for the course were 5, but finally only two teachers have been subsidized and the other have not any resources to do so. This learning will bring about the tools that they need to develop a teaching approach closer to that of a European country. The course will last for two weeks. During this time, teachers will has assimilated different methodologies and new techniques to help them teach their subjects in L2 reaching this objectives: Consider the principles of teaching using a CLL approach, Improve communication skills in English and develop language for their classroom while implementing a CLIL approach, Explore the potential of an inquiry-based project -work approach to CLIL through parctical ideas for classroom managent, lesso panning, ICT and materials development., Eschange ideas and teaching materials with teachers from different European contries.
