Innovación y creatividad en la pedagogía
Start date: Jul 1, 2014, End date: Jun 30, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

Our school's reality is characterized by a rural environment where economic activity is based on the primary sector. Our students don't have many opportunities to get international repercussion of their knowledge or even their competencies on foreign languages. On the other hand, teachers in this area feel sometimes unmotivated because of the difficulties that they find working so far from the major urban centers of our region. For all this reasons, we decided to continue with our international projects in order to create one that routed his forces to awake the teacher’s creativity and innovation in such a rural area like this. Taking into account the previous argument, our project has pursued the following objectives: - Discover new strategies and teaching methodologies that succeed in improving academic outcomes. - Enhance motivation and creativity of our students with strategies for action that could curb dropout. - Design new teaching tools based on Communication Technology and Information (ICT or eLearning), for the development of quality creative products and / or platforms for their distribution. - Improve the language skills of the entire educational community: pupils and teachers. Related to the participants, we would like to point out their previous experience on international Comenius projects and their motivation on the school internationalization. Firstly, there were five teachers involved in the project. Later on, there was a change on the number of courses and participants, as it was reported in the formal request sent to the National Agency and approved by it. Finally, the teachers who have made the project have the next profile: - Manuela María González Saavedra (Latin and Greek): the contact person for the project during the first year. She looked for training in new methodologies of the subjects taught, ICT training and motivational strategies giving her sujbect a new european dimension. - Lourdes Baile Lorenzo (Biology and Geology teacher and membership of the school library): she looked for innovative training methodologies in order to achieve hight interest of her students and improve her academic performance. She has also been interested in new strategies to help students to get knowledge and information under a European perspective. - Eva María Vicente Hernández (Mathematics): training in new methodologies that improve outcomes in mathematics competition and the creation of activities that show the students the application of mathematics on arts. - Ana Villegas Puerto (Music): Erasmus Plus Project Coordinator (course 2015-2016). Development of technical skills on musical practice and knowledge of new methodologies related to postural hygiene after proper psychophysical development of students in adolescent. - Isabel Pellicer Valverde (French teacher): development of innovative skills to enhance learning process in foreign-language students. - Pilar Montero Plumed (Physics and Chemistry): training in new metholodologies that improve outcomes in Sciences, using tools of Communication Technology and Information. The training activities that have been carried out are the following: - "TEL: Technology Enhanced Learning". Organized by ETI in Malta and coursed by the Physics and Chemistry teacher. - "Motiver POUR AGIR". Organized by Institut Européen de Français in Montpellier, (France). Coursed by the French teacher. - "Creativity and innovation in teaching and training by using a hands-on approach". Organized by Quarter Mediation in Assen (Holland) and coursed by the Music, Mathematics, Latin and Biology teachers. -ITM: Organized by "Alexander Technique-ITM" and course by the Music teacher. -"Digital extra". Organized by EU Courses in Stockholm and course by the Mathematics, Latin and Biology teachers. The project results have been very satisfactory because they have given an innovative and creative vision, not only for the participant teachers in the courses but also for the rest of the educational community. The evidence of this reality is visible on the wide variety of activities that have been performed for the last two years at the school (Blog: erasmusplusmontehermoso.blogspot.com). For instance: "I and II Scientific-Humanistic Fair" Musicalization of poems, method "ALEXANDROS TO Hellenikon paidion" murals creative "Modrian and mathematics" and "400th anniversary of Cervantes", "terrifying dramatized readings on Halloween"... In addition to the boost in the internationalization of the center, another big impact and long-term benefit is the initiation into the "methodology for projects", an innovative and creative strategy which promotes good results and motivation of the students.
