Start date: Jul 1, 2016, End date: Jun 30, 2018 PROJECT  FINISHED

Through this project "Innovation and Methodology Update: Creativity, CLIL, Cooperative Work and Improving ICTs for Internationalization", our school Santísima Trinidad in Plasencia (Cáceres) in Spain aims to adapt its methodology to a new educational reality that has appeared provoked to a great extent by the needs implied in becoming a school with a Bilingual Section, the use of new teaching techniques based on Multiple Intelligences , cooperative work and the wish on behalf of our staff to renew, associated to the new creative and innovative methodological approaches existing nowadays .This objective is also linked to the introduction of ITCs more and more in our classes so that learning will be more attractive for our pupils. Furthermore, we would like our pupils to assume and be aware of belonging to Europe. With this project, it is our desire to open our school to Europe , broaden our horizons thanks to the pieces of work that have been proposed and using the eTwinning platform. The whole project will mean a great benefit to all our Educative Community owing to the fact that it will improve the quality of the formation that we offer to our pupils with a clear intention to make our school international and to make it accessible to Europe. Another motivating aspect is that our teachers will improve their English fluency. We propose the mobility of 12 teachers who show a huge motivation and who are willing to be trained. These teachers belong to all levels of Education at our school, from Kindergarten to Secondary Education guaranteeing that all the knowlegde acquired in the courses will be applied to all the stages of education, which is a key part of our project. The different commissions created throughout the project will be in charge of all the aspects related to the selection of movilities as well as the selection criteria of candidates, organization and diffusion aspects. They will also be responsible for setting up protocols on how to behave before, during and after the courses. They will carry the evaluation of the project as well. The selection criteria established for the teachers are mainly their capacity to coordinate and communicate, belonging to the bilingual section and their interest to improve their knowledge about CLIL methodology ,new methodological approaches and ICT. All of them have stated a great interest in improving their English skills and all of them have a B2 or upper certificates according to the CEFR .These requirements assure that this experience will be acknowledged by most of the members of the Educative Community in our school and in other local, regional or even national institutions providing that our school belongs to the religious congregation of The Sisters of The Holy Trinity that has other four schools in different Spanish cities. As the intention of the management team has always been to involve the whole Educative Community from the very beginning, our pupils are going to develop different projects to organise the mobility and the training of their teachers. They are also going to search into cultural and historical aspects about the countries their teachers are going to visit and find out about some European documents that they have never heard of. Moreover, teachers have already received information about the Erasmus+ programme, Europass documents, the eTwinning platform, etc .The diffusion and impact of the project will be guaranteed thanks to the use of the school website, the online quarterly newsletter, the eTwinning platform, the use of social networks and the creation of a blog . We will also use as diffusion tools the information panels and notice boards at school as well as communication with the families through e-mails... All teachers will be available to take part in conferences, workshops and seminars organised by the CPR (Teacher Training and Resources Centre) or any local institution. The involvement and leadership of the headmaster and her team in the evaluation will also mean a new vision of the needs that our school raised at the beginning of the project and the way in which these difficulties will be solved thanks to the mobility of the teachers. Furthermore, a final report will be carried out by the teachers and this document will be a means to reflect and assess the contents acquired .The methodology will be participative trying to use a creative and innovative approach which is the key part of our project due to the fact that a methodological renovation will be our fundamental aim.To conclude, it is clearly exposed that the development of this project will benefit the whole School Community which will finally improve its quality in all the educational stages thanks to the implementation of new European teaching techniques . It is our desire to promote the idea of a global Europe to which all of us belong and take an active part through the cooperation in projects with other European schools via eTwinning.
