Jean Monnet Module “INMIGRACION Y DERECHOS HUMANOS EN LA FRONTERA SUR EUROPEA - MIGRATION AND HUMAN RIGTHS IN EUROPE´S SOUTHERN BORDERS" proposed by the University of Cadiz, includes the following activities: ANNUAL COURSE (BILINGUAL SPANISH AND ENGLISH), about immigration and human rights in the southern European border, at the University of Cadiz. ANNUAL CONGRESS (BILINGUAL SPANISH AND FRENCH) at the University Abdelmalek Essaadi of Tanger-Tetouan (Morocco). In this moment, specific studies on illegal immigration by sea, does not exist in the University of Cadiz, particularly in an area of Europe - the southern border - witness first order of this phenomenon. Also, the University of Cadiz receives more than 300 students from Russia, Latin America, Eastern Europe and especially the Maghreb region; so the proposed Jean Monnet module could represent an first approximation of these not european students in specific European policies. To facilitate the module participation, the University of Cadiz has the CELAMA program, which is responsible for managing the course, and the Strait of Gibraltar University Foundation. Also, it is possible of papers in the online Review Paix et Sécurité Internationales. The objective is the greatest impact among the university community and civil society in general interested in EU and the immigration phenomenon.
