Infrastructure setting of the enviroment in the protected areas in Bihor and Hajdu-Bihar (AAPB-HB)

The project aims to establish information centres in six protected areas from Bihor County. As a next step, the newly established six areas from Bihor County and four already existing areas from Hajdú-Bihar County will be interconnected in a network of protected areas and jointly promoted with the help of several communication tools.The protected areas from Bihor County are: Padurea cu narcise from Osorhei, Cicos Lake, Cold Valley Hydrographyc Complex (Salacea), Paleontographic Complex Gruiul Pietrii (Lugasu de Jos), Corynephorus Meadow (Simian), Vadu Crisului Gorge. The protected areas from Hajdú-Bihar County are: Bihari-legelő TT (Berettyóújfalu, Mezőpeterd), Jónásrész , Kék-Kálló-völgy, Mogyorós-erdő and Teleki-legelő.The main activities of this project are: creation of the information centres, creation of the visiting and access routes, creation of parking places and campsites, mapping of the protected areas, equipment acquisition.Direct beneficiaries of the project are: Bihor Forest Administration, “Tarii Crisurilor” Museum, local communities (about 25,000 inhabitants), 50 students from the University of Oradea, Department of Geography, Tourism and Land Planning, and pupils from the schools in the localities in which the project will be implemented, 20 teachers and researchers from the University of Oradea and Debrecen.
