The support helps strengthening the epidemiology surveillance system on the Hungarian-Romanian border. Epidemiology co-operation was needed because the reaction ability may be improved with the knowledge, facts and experience obtained on the two sides of the border. This is why it is important to share the knowledge and experiences and build a common database. Improvement was needed especially in epidemiology. These were the main objectives of the Hungarian-Romanian epidemiology co-operation, within the framework of which the support was used to organise a joint conference in Hungary, to purchase computers with the required software in order to make work easier, to purchase a projector and develop an epidemiology database.
