INCLUDE YOURSELF!
Start date: Aug 1, 2012,

The main objective of youth exchange is to empower unemployed youngsters to participate in local and international media and cultural projects with a clear focus on inclusion and on increasing the target group’s employability. Secondly, we want young people to understand that through active participation in local community (volunteering in cultural centers, initiating and participating in workshops and debates) they can gain new skills, understand the added value of lifelong learning and develop flexibility, thus gain crucial skills and attitudes for faster and more successful entrance to the labor market. 54 participants from 10 Programme and Neighboring partner countries will meet in Belgrade and engage in 6 different workshops that will use non-formal learning methods to develop the social and personal skills of participants in an artistic way. Our third objective is to show them the value of taking initiative, which can help them to make effective career choices, perhaps by joining long-term volunteering programmes such as EVS.Our target is to have at least 40% of participating young people coming from less opportunities background, the most vulnerable groups within the unemployed youth. The exchange will promote volunteering, intercultural awareness and social skills, using the techniques of learning by doing, peer-learning, personal goal-setting and cooperative problem-solving. During the exchange we will analyze the factors and share good practices that can increase active participation and employability of youth, and will look for creative ways to send our message to others as well. Using cultural activities and youth media productions is a great way to inform, motivate and engage youngsters with fewer opportunities, as well as to empower them to get their voice heard by the stakeholders thus creating way to more cohesive society.
