The Egri Lenkey János Primary School is an 8-grade school with long educational traditions. According to the school's development plan our aim is to develop the key competences of our students. We emphasize the importance of learning foreign languages by which we introduce our students to different cultures, traditions we provide the orientation in the world for them in order to improve their intercultural intelligence. The English language teaching in an advanced level was introduced six years ago and it has increased significantly the number of the students' lessons and the quantity of the curriculum. Our school tries to adapt to the growing needs, so the teachers train themselves permanently. They take part in academic and professional trainings. The KA1 and KA2 projects ensure useful trainings by which our workmanship, teaching methodology and motivation will be improved. We participated in a KA1 mobility in 2015 which proved that we could make opportunity for higher level of teaching through individual and professional improvement of our colleagues. These mobilities facilitate the enlargement of international relationships and develop the education itself in the school. Our short term aims are to acquire new, modern teaching methods and a wild range of ideas. The mid term aim is that our students could gain competitive knowledge, their competencies-speaking skills, listening comprehension, reading and writing skills-and their motivation will be improved. The mid effect of the mobility makes our school sure of staying competitive. The long term aim is that our students, our school could take part in as many European mobilities as possible. The experiencies will be built into the school's development plan. Thanks to the preservation of the traditions, our school's popurality and competitiveness will increase.We believe that participating in the Erasmus + project contributes to a more positive image of our school.
