In the footsteps of tradition
Start date: Feb 1, 2016, End date: Oct 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

The main topic of our Youth Exchange Programme is about the youth cultural learning, including first of all the cooperation between cultures, accepting and respecting each other's cultural inheritance, and streingthening the unified european sense. The purpose of this exchange programme is that the participants empathize more themselves into the other's culture, especially in order to rise the social solidarity in the European Union, or rather the mutual understanding and respect. The youth will be taking part of an intensive learning progress with opportunities to get to know other countries' culture, resulting in improving themselves and their own personalities. By this, they learn more empathy, tolerance and solidarity, as well as apperception of the european values and a unitary belonging. During the nine days, youth can develop their skills and competencies through workshops that can further help them to return home as a young person who can manage their tasks not only on national, but on a european level as well. They will have the opportunity to taste a piece of other countries’ cultures:- unique traditions- preserving traditions in other countries- folk dances and folk songs- traditional handmade crafts- gastronomyDuring the nine days young people (6 participants and 1 group leader from each country, 35 people in all) from five countries (Poland, Greece, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Hungary) will share their cultural features. The location of our project is „Jurta” Apartments in Berettyóújfalu, which has apartments for four people and each apartment includes separate sanitary facilities and a kitchen.
