The "IMPULSA - Promoting social football" project is an initiative of the Foundation for Professional Football (FFP) of Spain, the Football League Trust (FTL) in the UK, Liga Profesionista de Fotbal (LPF) from Romania and the FK Banga of Lithuania. They are non-profit entities linked to the world of professional football in their respective countries. All of them are fully aware of their appeal and the strong influence of this sport on young people and, therefore, its value as a driver of change and personal development, and as a tool to address the problematic faced by young people. IMPULSA is born in order to establish a framework for collaboration between those entities, to address the identified needs. The needs are linked to:- Improving the abilities of the institutions in the field of youth work, familiarizing the staff thereof (including sports coaches) with its basics and practical tools.- Increasing knowledge of education and inclusion through sport, work with youngster with special needs and practical tools to work in these fields, especially with young people- Strengthening of management abilities of nonprofit entities in areas such as communication in digital environments, project management within the framework of European projects, internationalization, innovation, etc.Satisfying these needs, the Consortium members and the entities that depend on them (29 affiliated football clubs foundations in the case of Spain) will be able to meet their social goals more effectively, putting at the service of youth, the media impact of football. The main beneficiaries will be the youth. Both those who work as volunteers in the different foundations linked to the world of professional football (2900 young people only in Spain) and those involved in some of the activities organized by such entities (for example, summer Football Campus). In addition to young people, the staff of the entities participating in the project and foundations connected with them will also benefit from the project, as well as all other entities and professionals who might incorporate the results of the project into their daily work. It should be noted that grassroots soccer coaches and technicians responsible for summer Football Campus will be also invited, due to their direct and frequent contact with young people.Throughout the different phases of the project, a wide range of activities, both face-to-face and virtual, including coordination meetings, facilitation sessions, personal interviews, etc. will be held. The detailed program of actions to perform, can be broadly summarized in the following phases:a) selection of beneficiary entities, b) detailed diagnosis of their abilities and needs, c) determining of an action plan, d) training & empowerment:- e-learning- educational campuse) mentoring & support and, finally, f) dissemination & exploitation of results. All of them will be framed in a strict planning and with the guarantee of a quality plan that includes a continuous monitoring and an evaluation of stages. As one of the aims of the project is to promote the youth work of the professionals and beneficiary entities, during different parts of the project and, in particular, during the Training Campus, we will make an intensive use of non-formal education methodologies. This way the use of horizontal and participative methods will be promoted. The project results will also be numerous, both the intangible, related to meeting needs, and tangible, such as:a) the Web Platform with its numerous dimensions, such as: portal of visibility of the project and its results, collaborative tool between partners, learning platform and an axis for the users’ communityb) the Guide of Best Practice, which will gather the basic contents of the three modules covered during the training phase; with a practical approach, it will provide resources, recommendations and case studies to not only be a theoretical text, but also a tool to transform the work of organizations and professionals.c) the Training Package (including resources, methodologies, etc.) used in the Training Part also will be available. The communication, dissemination and exploitation of results strategy will be one of the axes of the project and will address both the entities described in the previous paragraph and other stakeholders. It aims to raise awareness of the project, its results and to involve different actors in implementation. Therefore, this strategy will be the first axis of the sustainability of the project. Establishing partnerships with other European institutions of the same nature, will be the second axis. The IMPULSA project is in line with the general objectives of Erasmus + program, and its specific objectives of the Strategic Partnerships in the field of Youth, as well as with the general and specific priorities.
