Improving language skills and intercultural competence among foreign language teachers

Background: Foreign language teachers in Norway need to seek a natural environment in order to maintain and improve their language skills and their cultural knowledgeObjectives: The objectives of this project is to offer teachers courses to further develop their role as a competent language teacher, the school will benefit from the participants' experiences and most importantly, the students will have more qualified and inspirational teachers.Participants: There are four participants for this project. They have been teaching for many years and they are dedicated and eager to learn so that they can plan and execute varied and interesting lessons. Activities: The participants will attend courses in Austria or Spain and they will have seminars for fellow colleguesMethodology: The teachers are free to organize the courses how they prefer and based on their needs. Envisaged results and impact: The participants will bring new ideas and competence to the language department at school and they will have new angles and ideas to carry out their teaching. Long term benefits: Hopefully the participants will motivate other teachers in the department and more teachers will get inspired to participate in Eramus+
