Improvement of the Educating Conditions for Continuity of the Art Heritage in Latvia and Belarus in the Framework of the Cross-border Cooperation (Virtual Reality)

PROBLEM: On the state level of Latvia and Belarus, it is acknowledged that the art education needs reforms in order to attract children's and youngsters' attention to the creative art. The schools lack conditions for ensuring appropriate teaching and learning process for their pupils: the premises are not well-equipped, there is no necessary ICT equipment.OBJECTIVES: To enhance extracurricular education development in Latvia and Belarus border municipalities by undertaking joint actions aiming at strengthening co-operation in art teaching. Achievements: 2 children art schools in Ludza and Glubokoye were renovated and equipped with new furniture, modern hardware and software to be used during art lessons.Teachers of both schools were trained to use modern equipment and IT for modernisation of education in art. Interactive lessons were developed.As the result of joint work the common product was created by partners – a colouring book based on biography and works of 2 famous local artists: A.Kukojs from Ludza and J.Drozdovich from Glubokoye.
