Improvement of digital literacy of pre-service and in-service teachers
The idea of this project is to establish the Centre for Research on New Technologies in Education (CeRNeT). This will be operated in both Sombor and Baja faculties. The first activities of these Centres are organising two courses for in-service teachers on digital literacy and developing an Educational Web Portal (ed.WeP) in Sombor. This contributes to the development of the information society through improved application of new technologies in education and is achieved through providing support to the primary and higher education sectors in order to upgrade teachers education on digital literacy by opening CeRNeT, an online and offline open resource environment for all pre-service and in-service teachers as well as teacher educators. The Centre will monitor the needs in the field, provide lifelong learning and support capacity building of the targeted groups. Also, a free online journal of the CeRNeT will be jointly produced with the cross-border partner and will present a networking tool of teacher education institutions. Opening the same kind of Centre with the cross-border partner institution provides a strong basis for long-term co-operation in terms of research activities, staff and student mobility, institutional and human resources capacity building.
