ImproLAB
Start date: May 1, 2016, End date: Jan 31, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

ImproLAB is a project where the main theme is the development of the entrepreneurship capacities of youngsters by experimenting with a theatrical method (the improvisation) of which methods can be applied in the day to day life and even encourages them to create their own jobs in their communities of origin. The main activity, a youth exchange, with the participation of 25 youngsters from 5 European countries (Spain, Greece, Italy, Czech Republic and Romania) will take place in Tenerife, Spain, between 4th and 15th of September 2016. As it involves young people coming from countries in which the youth unemployment rate is high, they will discover similar problems they share and they will try to find solutions through different non-formal education methods, especially improvisation. With it, the project wants to give the participants the task to start a series of improvisation performances in their local communities after returning home, maybe finding thus their place in the work market. Also one of the last days of the exchange they will display the results of all the workshops in a public improvisation show.At the end, the participants will have filled their own YouthPass certificates; they will be able to communicate better in their own language and in English; they will learn to learn, as they won’t be given lessons but orientations in the learning process (non-formal education) during the workshops; they will know and understand people from other cultures and will learn to work actively and being tolerant with them; they will be motivated to be creative and innovative, and to put their own ideas into action. With all these new and improved competences they will be more attractive in the work market.
