Implementation of a regional project for translational medical research concerning diseases with high impact in population (HU-RO-TRANS-MED)

The aim of the project is to carry out research with relevance to cardiovascular diseases.The overall objective of the project is the implementation of a joint project, in order to develop region’s unfavorable public health condition by a long-term sustainable, internationally competitive research project. The specific objectives are targeted towards clarifying some physio-pathologic mechanism in cardiovascular, respiratory, neurological and gastrointestinal diseases and trained, qualified human resource.The main activities of the project are: development of new compounds based on novel mechanisms in cardiovascular pharmacology, cardiovascular diagnostic and preventive therapy research in ischemia heart disease, effect of resuscitation with low H2-supplemented air on brain blood supply in rats, research on cardiology prevention, integrated phenomenological modeling in tissue prevention study, tissue protection examination on ischemic-reperfusion animal models.The most important target group is the region’s population who get higher quality health care as a consequence of better medical education. Also graduate students, lecturers and researchers are direct beneficiaries of the project
