Implementácia prvkov metódy CLIL do vyučovacieho procesu.
Start date: Jun 1, 2015, End date: May 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

The initial idea to implement our project originates from the necessity to provide higher quality language training for our learners and to prepare them for their future professional career. Among other factors belong the necessity to connect theoretical knowledge with the needs of real practice and to motivate teachers to participate in a lifelong learning process and thus to prevent an occurrence of the burn-out effect. The general objective of our project is to implement methodology innovation at our school through incorporating elements of content and language integrated learning into teaching Science and Math. The main activity of our project is the participation of our colleagues on European mobilities. We have selected a precise structured course dealing with methodology and techniques of CLIL. It is important that such education is provided in language and cultural background of the aimed language – in United Kingdom. Because of the differentiation in teaching approaches in primary and secondary education levels, the mobilities are planned in two rounds. One team of teachers from secondary level, two of them representing Science and Math field, who will later be well-founded introducers of the method together with a support of an ESL teacher, who will participate on the course in aim to function as a language and methodology guarantor for both levels of education. The second team consists of two primary teachers who will have the same task to help their colleagues on primary education level to introduce elements of CLIL method into everyday teaching practise. The necessity to have at least two teachers per education level corresponds with the principle of substitutability of crucial employees. The preparation faze is dealing with the level of mastering English, knowledge of methodology, with the logistics and administration of the structural course. After passing the education, the teachers will introduce the acquired knowledge into practise. The final stage will complete the process by incorporating the elements of CLIL methods into the key document of the school – the school curriculum. The project will have a significant influence on the school strategy, its quality and attractiveness of offered education programmes through modern techniques and methods of teaching, aimed to support pupils´ motivation. Last but not least is the impact on teachers themselves as a tool of their personal and professional development.
