„Implementace zahraničních zkušeností při práci se žáky vyžadující zvláštní péči“

The project entitled "Implementation of international experience working with students with special needs" submitted by Tyrš Elementary School, Brno, Kuldova 38, will be implemented together with a partner, which is the company Euromob from Laundos (Portugal). The submitter is not a large organization (employing 28 teachers), whose level of competence is high. Nevertheless, the proposer of the project seeks to further improve knowledge of teaching staff through the experience from other European Union member states. The project applicant will address in particular the issue of effective work with students with special needs and problems of effective carreer and vocational counselling. Participants of the educational mobility will be 17 workers of Tyrš Elementary school, of which 2 work in senior positions. Other members of the target group are qualified teaching staff. The specific mobility needs of the participants are as follows: • improving and enhancing the current work with pupils with special needs • searching for new forms of working with such pupils • learning about new approaches and possibilities for effective career and vocational guidance. • gaining new perspectives on implementation advice to pupils The main objective of the project is the implementation of professional training of teachers and school leaders through the transfer of experience, information and knowledge between Czech and Portuguese side. The specific objectives of the project are: 1. Getting foreign experience in working with children with special needs. 2. Obtaining foreign experience in the issues of effective career and vocational guidance. 3. Transfer of innovative approaches in the two mentioned areas. 4. Establishing cooperation between educational staff from the two countries of the Community with the intention of deepening it in future. The content of the project is outlined to help extend pedagogical and professional knowledge of members of the target group in such a way that the current practice in the Czech Republic requires. The main benefit of the planned project is the professional development of teachers and managers of the primary school through the process of mutual learning and exchange of experience. During the dialogue between the mobility participants, there will be space for adopting experience and innovative approaches, which can be for both parties represented in the project (Portuguese and Czech) very beneficial. Mobility participants will gain a new perspective on educational work they perform, which will positively reflect both in their professionalism and efficiency in their future work. The most important outcome of the project will therefore be trained teaching staff and school leaders, co-operation and innovative pedagogical approaches in teaching pupils with special educational needs. If the project is supported, it will be implemented over 12 months (from the beginning of July 2014 to the end of June 2015), the ten-day internship in Portugal in Porto region will take place in September-October 2014.
