Implantación nuevas metodologias de aprendizaje

This is a Project about mobility for a group of teachers from Eduardo Primo Marqués highschool located in the town of Carlet ( Valencian Community).The centre has got a plurilingual project from 2014-15 where the subject of technology was given in 1st ESO . Currently our registered 1st ESO students in this programme have doubled the number of those from last year and the subjects of computer studies and technology are given in English. In the 2nd ESO the subjects of Maths, computer studies and technology are given in English.We are a centre where traditional teaching predominates and where teachers have got a very low level in English.The goals of the present project are related to the ones included in our Educative Plan, among these ones we would point out the incorporation of new learning/teaching technologies focused on a renewed pedagogy, the introduction of a system of quality, the internalization of the centre, the consolidation of the plurilingual programme, the improvement of the linguistic competences of both teachers and students, the improvement of students’ marks and the students’ motivation reducing the rate of dropout.To get these goals we have planned activities, on the one hand methodological (1st and 2nd leg of the project) and on the other one linguistic activities (2nd leg of the project). The first leg would be carried out from September 2016 to September 2017. During this leg the activities would be:- Structured course (structured study visit to a Finnish centre): two teachers participating, October 2016- Course “ Creative methodology in a foreign language” in Canterbury, August 2017: two teachers participating.- Course “ Task based learning” work methodology in projects, London, August 2017: one teacher participatingDuring the second leg of the project the activities of mobility will be:- Course “Activate your English”: two teachers participating in Leeds June 2018.- Course “ English for teachers”: two teachers participating, Dublin, July 2018.- Course “Innovative approaches to teaching” in London, two teachers participating, August 2018.We hope to get a methodological change as a result of these activities to increase the students and teachers’ motivation and to improve the students’ marks. We also hope to reduce the rate of dropout and to improve the linguistic competences of teachers in order to introduce the plurilingual programme of the centre in the future. Also we expect to improve our students' linguistic competences in English.
