-context/background of project; The prosposal for a job shadow for two people has emerged from a relationship developed in a KA2 project particularly a workshop activity in which educators met and developed an interest to development a more in depth learning experience between Irish/Spanish peers in relation to engaging adult learners/ artists with intellectual disabilities in art programmes-objectives of your project; to support the individual participants to- have an in depth experience the pedagogical approaches and strategies in each others organisations through to observation and joining in practice.-to reflect on own practices through immersion in a different culture and context.- to observe and engage in a full range of project and workshop activities to learn about strategies used and the impact of the adult learners/ artists.-To learn about range of potential public engagement strategies and to develop project ideas-To observe and learn about internationalisation strategies of the organisations- to share learning and experience with own organisation and other organistations stake holders interested in this area of practice-to support practice and career development for Jobshadow participants.-number and profile of participants; there are 2 participants in the project- 2 educators who also work in the area or project/programme development and managementdescription of activities; the jobshadow will explore the following themes-*the pedagogical relationship and strategies in addressing dieverse needs of learners in an authentic way-*public engagement and strategies to work with the Adult learners/ artists-*building of relationship between the adult learner/ artist programmes and Cultural institutions. -*building of relationship between the adult learner/ artist programmes and Third level institutes- * internationalisation-* strategies for visibility of adult learners / artists with disabilities. Exhibition opportunities and circulation of creative outcomes. -methodology to be used in carrying out the project; the programme seeks to create a learning experience through indepth immersion, engagement and reflection and subsequent application of new learning to practice. An accredited placement module will provide structure for mentoring reflection and monitoring.-a short description of the results and impact envisaged and the potential longer term benefits.The project intends to have a deep impact on the participants and their practice engaging with adults with intellectual disabilities.by giving new perspectives on their own values approaches and techniques ideas for project and programme development.The job shadow is being carried out to help fulfill the european strategy of the organisation so will help progress the objectives of the strategies. The organisations will benefit from the direct impact of the programme participants returning with new energy , skills and perspectives on their own work. They will also benefit from the new ideas of projects and strategies that the participants bring back to the organisations. Outcomes and experience will be shared through the sending and hosting organisations blogs and facebook pages with local regional, national, European and international reach. The social media networks of both the hosting and sending organisation are well connected to other supported artists studio group working with adult learners/ artists with intellectual disabilities and has potential to impact on their practice and exploration of the job shadow themes.
