IMAGINE II
Start date: May 15, 2012,

The IMAGINE II 2012-13 aims to fill in the current gap between the national and the European dimension of the program, promoting international exchanges of musicians, intercultural learning and training for professional career development and training for music events organizers in cross-border settings. By doing so, it will add the necessary European dimension to the national and local events and will promote the sense of belonging to Europe to the participating musicians. At European level, IMAGINE will develop as a strong brand representing the non-profit spin off to young upcoming musicians and an engine of the music industry of tomorrow.IMAGINE will develop an annual European IMAGINE, built on local, regional and national events in the partner countries, that brings young musicians from local communities into the spotlight, providing performance experience, musical skills training, increased music industry knowledge and visibility contributing to professionalization and improving access to professional opportunities within the European music sector. There will be 2 European events during the Project, Romania 2012 and Norway 2013. They feature top bands discovered through local, regional and national activities, and serve as a unique young talent pool accessible to international festival organizers and other music industry professionals. IMAGINE will also expand over the boundaries of one time annual event by targeted initiatives all year round: a) Multilateral Exchanges between young bands increasing the geographical and social outreach of musicians; b) Training Scheme preparing young bands for future careers, providing them with skills that support their employability at the music market. The project offers 4 young musicians training sessions (part of the IMAGINE showcases); There will be 5 trainings in 24 months period.
