The telemedicine term PACS refers to picture archiving and communication system. The pilot project surveys prerequisites and possibilities for extending the HUS-PACS application from the Hospital District of Helsinki and Uusimaa to Northern Estonia. The compatibility of devices and software programmes, telecommunication capacity, need for personnel training, feasibility of technical options, as well as the legal aspects of cross-border co-operation will be scrutinized. Target areas: Uusimaa region (Finland) and Tallinn, Harjumaa region and Northern Estonia
