The technology of “smart homes” is a new and fast growing sector, which is expected to grow rapidly in coming years. Internationally various technologies are used, the development of which follow the respective developments occurring generally in the field of Communication and Information Technologies. The technologies of "smart home" based on developments in information and communication technology and introduce a single control system, through which all the individual parts that make up an electrical installation can communicate to each other. Central to the new system is the creation of a decentralized data transfer and processing system (modeled on the operation of the PC), that a communication bus (Bus) running through the whole system and on which all active system components are connected. A representative system is the bus EIB / KNX (European Installation Bus / Konnex Association), which is well known in Greece and is supported by several European electrical equipment companies. This is an open European standard, which came from the consolidation of three sub-systems developed over the past two decades in Europe. The open platform of KNX has been registered in European standards EN 50090 and EN 13321-1 and the International Standards ISO / IEC 14543. It works using different media for data transmission (telephone cables, power network, wireless communication and even Ethernet networks). Through the project, students will have the opportunity to engage further and obtain certification and international recognition for this separate technical electrical installation EIB / KNX and constant updating of developments. The objectives to be achieved by the project are:- understand the need to develop the technologies of the "smart home",- know the structure and function of the system EIB / KNX,- to design electrical installations using the technique EIB / KNX,- make a detailed inventory of automation needs,- analyze and record the available technical solutions,- to evaluate and define or redefine the suggested solutions Installation. In the proposed project we expect to achieve multiplier effects and benefits, both for participants and for organisations abroad. Participation in such a mobility project contributes to the acquisition of competencies and skills those students:- To record in detail the automation needs in space and generally for the entire electrical installation, desirable, automated and non-functions concerning lighting (inside and outside), heating, ventilation, air conditioning, management electric charges (which powered by sockets or backup generator, etc.), use moving rolls, watering the garden, security, fire detection, labeling statements, etc.- Record of available technical solutions for the realization of automated functions or combination of different technologies.- Evaluate technical solutions depending on the cost of supply and installation of materials, the maintenance cost of installation, reliability of materials and system chosen, the reliability of the manufacturer and maintainer, the choice of materials from different manufacturers, experience the operation of such facilities and the scope for expansion and adaptation of the installation to future needs.
